Pre-Consumer

It is called Pre-Consumer recycling, to the process of reusing waste generated on the manufacturing stages of garments. Meaning,  waste from cutting, trims and defective garments that were never sent to the consumer.

Post-Consumer

It is called Post-Consumer recycling, to the process of reusing waste generated by the final consumer. Meaning, garments that were used and rejected later.

Recycling Textiles

Producing garments can now be a more eco-friendly process.

The mind of the consumer is changing, allowing/forcing the industry to become more circular.

There are 2 main thoughts to have in mind:

        • Waste reduction
        • Less harm to the biodiversity

If you take as an example, a 100% Cotton t-shirt, can take up to 2.000 litres of water, as well as releasing up to 10kg of CO2.

It is time to start reducing our carbon footprint.
